Minibar (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a Shopify app provided by Glaze Digital. This policy explains what data the app processes when a merchant installs and uses it. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app.
Information we process
- Store details: your shop domain and the access token Shopify issues on install, used to authenticate the app to your store.
- Announcement content you create: the message, link, colour, status and schedule you configure in the app. This is content you author, not personal data.
The app does not collect, store or process your customers’ personal data. The announcement bar shown in the customer account area displays only the content you set; it does not read customer information.
How we use it
Solely to operate the app: to authenticate requests from your store and to return the announcement you configured so it can display in your customers’ account area.
Sharing and sub-processors
- Shopify - the platform the app runs on.
- Railway - our hosting and database provider (data stored in a PostgreSQL database).
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Retention and deletion
We keep your store record and announcement content while the app is installed. When you uninstall the app, the associated session data is deleted. We also honour Shopify’s mandatory data webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact,shop/redact).
Security
Requests between your store and the app are authenticated with Shopify session tokens over HTTPS. Access tokens are stored securely and used only to serve the app.
Your rights
Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct or delete data we hold. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
